Compare Manhattan bar-height seating for a Canadian patio, balcony or outdoor bar: a backless chair, a chair with a backrest, an armchair and a folding model. These Grade A teak designs offer different seating and storage options; see ARB’s 5-Year Warranty.
Compare the backless Manhattan bar chair with the Manhattan bar chair with a backrest. For arms, see the Manhattan bar armchair; for folding storage, see the folding Manhattan bar chair.
Pairing with a teak bar-height table? Check the chair’s actual seat height, armrest clearance and the space beneath your table. Overall chair height is not seat height, and a bar chair should not be assumed to fit a kitchen counter.
Quick answers for choosing, placing, and caring for teak bar-height chairs.
Choose by backrest, arms and storage needs, then confirm the chair’s seat height against your table. The backless and folding designs serve different layouts; check the individual model before assuming it folds or fits a counter.
The Manhattan bar chairs shown can be used outdoors. Teak heartwood’s natural oils contribute to resistance to water and decay; the wood is not waterproof. Let wet chairs dry before storage, particularly before folding and putting a piece away.
Teak exposed outdoors can gradually develop a silver-gray patina. This natural color change is separate from choosing the right chair height and layout. Consult the teak care guide for care of the wood.
Clean the teak only as needed with mild soap and water and a soft-bristle brush, working with the grain. Rinse well and allow it to dry. ARB recommends keeping the natural finish without added teak oil or sealant.
